A Short Reflection from a 9th Grader
Maxwell Wesslock, 24’
Ever since my eighth-grade year, being a ninth-grader was a terrifyingly amazing idea. I would be a high schooler, yes, but that also came with more responsibilities: a new school and having to make new friends. I only knew two other students that would be attending Bard. Add a pandemic, masks, social distancing, and blended learning to the mix, this year was going to be crazy! I haven’t been socializing as much as I usually would be, and my mom was not happy with that, so I went to the park with some of my friends. While it is weird skateboarding with a mask on and keeping six feet away on a busy sidewalk or in the hallways, it is something that everyone can do!
